FAQ

What are the system requirements for iCrucible?

iCrucible requires iOS (iPadOS) 17.2 or later on an iPhone (iPad) with an Apple A12 or more performant A series SoC, or Apple M series SoC.

How do I get started with iCrucible?

Tap the Plus (+) button on the bottom bar, and tap the system name palceholder "A-B-C" to select 3 unique elements. Tap the Start button to make a new prediction of the selected system.

May I write a research paper using information obtained from the app.

No AI tools for materials science can completely replace established, theoretical methods as of 2023. If you pick up candidate compounds using the app, you should validate them with theoretical and/or experimental approaches. You may write a research paper about the validated compounds on the basis of your original work excluding the detailed information given by the app. Note that some usages may be prohibited under the EULA.

Can iCrucible make a prediction of a chemical system composed of more than 3 elements?

No. Currently, selectable are only chemical systems composed of 3 elements.

Can my devices share flame gems stored into one of them?

No. Your devices cannot share flame gems.

How to share a chemical system between my devices?

Long-press the Plus (+) button on the bottom bar to display the "Export" and "Import" button. Tap the "Export" button on your device (hereafter, Device A) storing the chemical system to be shared. To share it, tap the "Import" button on your other device (hereafter, Device B), and select the name of Device A. On Device A, tap the "Export" button when it gets enabled. On Device B, when the "Import" button gets enabled, select a stock and tap the "Import" button.

I cannot share a chemical system between my devices. What is wrong?

Please make sure that the Internet connection is online, that your devices log in to your iCloud account, and that the iCloud drive is enabled on your devices and for iCrucible.

iCrucible does not work on my new device after setting up it from a backup of my previous device.

Please reinstall iCrucible on your new device, and transfer the iCrucible data from the app on your previous device to the app on your new device using the app's sharing functionality.
